Hostel the Movie

After a detailed description from Joeanna, Miguel and I went to see Hostel last night. It started out really slow. Miguel actually nearly fell asleep a few times.

The movie started out in Amsterdam, where two American’s and one Icelandic had stopped on a backpacking trip across Europe. Why Amsterdam? Well for starters, the guys were all young, straight and just out of college. Amsterdam has alot to offer for their kind…Girls & Drugs primarily. After smoking tons of weed, they headed to the red-light district. They did their thing with a prostitute and headed back to their hostel, unaware that there are curfews at many European hostels. Unable to get into the hostel, they start shouting for someone to open the door. When neighbors become irritated with the guys and start throwing things at them, they take refuge in the apartment of what seemed like a “good guy.” This guy goes on to tell them of a place in Eastern Europe where the girls are both plentiful and willing, especially for Americans. So, what do they do? Jump on a train and head to Eastern Europe.

When they finally arrive at their hostel, they discover that they will be sharing a room with a few beautiful women. As they enter the room, the girls are in the middle of changing, but tell them they are not bothered by their presence, but will leave the room to them and meet them at the “spa” later on. Sure enough, they do…I think they all get “lucky,” too. After befriending these girls, they go to a disco with them, where they get their drink on…get lucky again…you get the point.

Eventually, the Icelandic (oli) buy goes missing. Initially the two Americans figure he has gone home with a girl. When they don’t hear from after a day or two, they figure he must have gone back to Iceland. Well, he didn’t go back to Iceland…you’ll have to go and see it to find out what happened to him and the rest.

*Warning*If you don’t like sick and twisted things, this movie is not for you.

Enjoy!
